PBS International Concert: A Tale of Two Cities

An international, staged concert performance of the Broadway show, "A Tale Of Two Cities," premiered on PBS November 26th, 2009. Narrated by Michael York, this Dickens classic was brought to life by stars of the original Broadway production along with elite members of the West End in London. Ed Kessel arranged, orchestrated and produced the music for the show and DVD which features a 32 piece orchestra. The live concert was filmed at the Theatre Royal in Brighton, England and the TV program features Michael York in various historical locations in England and France. With book, music and lyrics by Jill Santoriello, the show continues to gain international success as it is broadcast in Europe as well as the United States.
Ed Kessel also produced the International Studio Cast Album which was recorded at London's legendary Sphere Studios, home to the Rolling Stones and many other artists. The studio CD and DVD of the concert production are currently available through PBS, iTunes, and Amazon.
